Careful consideration was given the existing rustic house during the renovation stages in order to maintain its authenticity and make the living spaces bright and habitable. The exposed beams provide warmth and create volume. The renovation included rigorous requirements to ensure outstanding levels of energy savings  to achieve a zero energy house.
